Golden Gloves returns to Tyler

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The 72nd Annual East Texas Golden Gloves Boxing Tournament is back in Tyler. Any gym or boxer that resides in the East Texas Golden Gloves district must compete in the East Texas Golden Gloves Tournament to advance to the Texas State level. From there, boxers could earn a shot in the Olympics.
The weigh in will be held Saturday, January 28 at Scorpion's Boxing Club in Tyler. All boxers, from all over East Texas wishing to compete must weigh-in on Saturday.
The UT Tyler Patriot Center will host the tournament beginning Thursday night at 7 p.m. Bouts will continue Friday night and conclude on Saturday night. Admission is ten dollars. Ringside seats cost 25 dollars. For more information go to easttexasboxing.org.
